Bolder at Nordic Edge, Workshop- My City, My Way, why GDPR will change everything

Nordic Edge, Wednesday, September 27th, 16:00-17:30

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation intended to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union (EU). The primary objectives of the GDPR are to give control back to citizens and residents over their personal data. It becomes enforceable from 25 May, 2018. We will explore the potential for radical changes in business models that can be unlocked by this new regulation.

How building products and services straight atop of your citizen and customers personal cloud infrastructure will change the way you think. Unlocking the power of contribution and individual needs in your value chain, by giving up data!

In the workshop, we will explore the new value chains and business models empowered by citizen’s ownership of data. Integration of vertical data streams through citizens will release the potential for technology to improve the lives of individuals, through innovative applications of information and services.

How can Smart Cities and businesses be built to set a precedence in the way we think about privacy in the future?
The workshop invites big and small actors to describe a micro cosmos of the next generations Smart City. A sensing city that will adapt to the needs of its citizens.
